Acquisition of Rosoka by i2 Group

On 21 July, i2 Group, part of Harris Computer, announced the expansion of its portfolio of analysis and visualisation products with Rosoka Software Inc. Rosoka offers analysts and investigators the possibility to automatically enrich i2 analysis and data visualisations with entities, relationships and other relevant (geo)data from unstructured data.

The acquisition enables i2 Group to better serve the analysis and visualisation needs of law enforcement, defence and other organisations involved in fighting crime.

Jamie Caffrey, Executive Vice President of i2 Group: “The integration of the Rosoka solution in i2 is revolutionary. It expands the capabilities of our products and will improve an analyst's time-to-value by providing insight into the mass of unstructured data. Documents can now be imported into i2 and are immediately ready for further analysis”.

George Roberts, CEO of Rosoka: “Being part of the Harris family and i2 Group is a wonderful opportunity for Rosoka. It enables us to increase our user base. I look forward to working with i2 Group to create even more opportunities for analysts and investigators worldwide”.

Ana Maria Oniceanu, Analytics Manager at DataExpert: “We are very excited about i2 Group’s acquisition of Rosoka. Rosoka has been the no-brainer plug-in for i2 for several years now when it comes to unstructured data. Meanwhile, approx. 80% of the data is unstructured. By adding Rosoka functionalities to i2 software, users can analyse documents in more than 200 languages, which is something our customers noticeably need”.

Rosoka's functionalities are now available in the new i2 TextChart product line.
