News for the i2 community: IBM i2 becomes i2 Group

We recently received word from Harris Computer that they have acquired the i2 portfolio from IBM effective 1 January 2022. i2 has been the world's leading software technology in (cyber)crime analysis for 30 years. Harris Computer, based in Canada and founded in 1976, specialises in developing and selling software solutions in the security and public sector. The i2 portfolio therefore fits very well with Harris' core business.

Due to Harris' long-term vision, we expect innovation and continued development of the i2 portfolio. The experiences with Harris demonstrate this as well. Harris Computer commits to maintaining i2's leadership position and focus on social safety.

The i2 portfolio will be housed in i2 Group, which will be part of Harris Computer and will operate as an autonomous organisation.
