Passware Kit Forensic T2 Add-on

The Passware Kit Forensic from Passware supports investigative agencies worldwide with password recovery and decryption. In as many as 70% of cases, Passware successfully decrypts an encrypted data carrier and extracts vital information for an investigation.  

Recently, Passware released the new Passware Kit Forensic T2 add-on. This add-on is the first Digital Forensics tool that can recover passwords from Mac computers with the Apple T2 Security Chip. In addition, this solution provides the ability to examine APFS images. The T2 add-on uses a brute-force attack on the Apple T2 Chip in a Mac computer. This makes it possible to recover an average of 10 to 20 passwords per second.

The add-on module runs on both Windows and MacOS operating systems. During the password recovery process, a USB-C or Thunderbolt cable should be used to connect to the Mac computer. An image of the Mac obtained through Target Disk Mode must also be available. The digital investigator can decide which tool to use for this.
